2018's game, Current Events, focuses on the issue of pollution in the planet's oceans. Our robot has been given these tasks: retrieve plastic and micro plastics from the five major ocean gyres, deposit it safely on reef blocks, and rescue wildlife whilst competing against robots of other competing teams. The game emphasizes the importance of recycling and spreads awareness of the damage plastic does to the environment and the creatures that populate it.
